TOUR DESCRIPTION & ITINERARYThere are few, if any, more exciting ways for kids to experience the splendor of Catalonia's capital than on the Barcelona Highlights Family Tour. At four hours in length, this gem among the city's family tours is a perfect match for parents and kids who are excited to experience the best of Barcelona in a fun and engaging manner!
This tour can be done by taxi or by chauffeured van. Taxis are best for families with a maximum of five people. Bigger families should consider doing the tour by chauffeured van. We'll start this tour in l'Eixample, which is a well-known neighborhood that was created over 150 years ago where we will explore Gaudi's creations, including his almost finished basilica, la Sagrada Familia. At la Sagrada Familia you will enjoy skip-the-line entrance tickets, and a family fun scavenger hunt that is age appropriate for your children. You can enhance your experience by including tickets that can allow you to go up one of the bell towers - offering amazing views over Barcelona, as well as a bird's eye view of the construction of this unique building. No tour is complete without a visit to Paseo de Gracia, Barcelona's Rodeo Drive and home of the most unique houses designed by Gaudi including the fabulous Casa Batllo and la Pedrera, which are seemingly straight out of Dr Seuss's Whoville. The second half of this tour takes place in Barcelona's oldest district, the Gothic Quarter, where you will set out on foot to enjoy this pedestranized area with a part two of our family fun scavenger hunt, including a blindfolded chocolate tasting! This neighborhood is the proud home of the Barcelona Cathedral, Placa Sant Jaume, and the Jewish Quarter, including one of Europe's oldest synagogues. And remember that part of what makes The Barcelona Highlights Family Tour such an exhilarating experience is that the age-based scavenger hunts with edible prizes! WHAT'S INCLUDED

"A great two days in Barcelona"
With 2 kids, 9 (girl) and 11 (boy), Nancy was great and kept the kids very engaged with lots of questions, facts that meant things to them, and not overwhelming them with "history". The kids thoroughly enjoyed both tours, and both kept them interested and engaged. This means so much when the kids are sure they will be "bored" without their video games... We definitely recommend the biking (we did that a version of that in every city we visited) - and Barcelona is a great city for that. They really also liked the treasure hunt at the Sagrada Familia and were very impressed with Nancy's knowledge of everything and her ability to really make it come alive.

"Great tour in Barcelona"
Nancy gave my family an incredible tour of the old and new Barcelona. We brought our two sons, ages 14 and 9, and she was great for all of us. We did a really neat tour through Old Barcelona, then a fun market place for lunch, and then to Gaudi, which was amazing. She kept all of us super interested and she has an engaging and delightful personality that everyone will love. Just in the four hours we spent with her gave us much more insight into a great city. We loved it!
