'Fantastic Way to See Barcelona with Exceptional Guide'Touring Barcelona with Nancy was a great way to get acclimated to the City. We are a family of four with two children (15 and 6) and wanted to make sure we had an experience that was appropriate for both of our kids. Nancy was fantastic. She adapted her tour to our family, focusing on sights and attractions age appropriate for our kids. As an example, when our 6 year old daughter was hungry she took us to the top churros bakery in the gothic quarter. Nancy was warm, engaging, extremely knowledgeable, passionate about her city and fun to be with. Our six year old gave her the highest compliment telling us she was "kid friendly". At the same time we felt like we spent enough time at all of the sights she took us too. Nancy was also a source of good restaurant recommendations. Spending the time with Nancy was the highlight of our trip to Barcelona.

By Far our Favorite Guide!
This was our first trip to Barcelona and after researching guides on Trip Advisor, we decided to hire Nancy with Enchanting Barcelona Tours. We are so glad we did! We took a cruise after our Barcelona stay and hired several other guides, and she was by far our favorite! I chose to work with Nancy because of her great reviews, professional website, great communication pre-tour, and because she advertised scavenger hunts for the kids. We have 3 young boys, so having a guide who catered to children was important to us. We were not disappointed! Nancy was punctual, informative, friendly, and patient - and she shared great information at each stop along the way. She took us down alleys in the GothicQuarter we would have missed, and we loved the Gaudi tour which included a hotel rooftop to view the magnificent Sagrada Familia en route to the church itself. For an excellent tour guide and great introduction to Barcelona, Spain, call Nancy!

Can't say enough nice things
We took four different tours with four different guides around Barcelona. My wife is disabled and uses a scooter to get around. Our guides - Nancy, Dolça, Montse, and Jaap were first rate - patient, knowledgeable, and personable. We plan to visit Barcelona again and will certainly use Enchanting Tours (hopefully with the same guides). We can't recommend them enough. |
Some of the highlights of our trip
We booked three, half day activities. Having a private tour guide really enhanced our trip in many ways. First, Nancy knows the city like the back of her hand not to mention her incredible knowledge of Spanish history. Second, we feel we saw so much more, learned so much more, and covered so much more territory that we would of been able to do on our own in the time we had. Finally, Nancy is just really fun to be with and even engaged our teens. Our first half day trip was a Gaudi tour. We visited Park Guell and La Sagrada Familia Cathedral, both outstanding, must see sites.
Nancy narrates all along the way and being it was our first day in the city, she helped us get the lay of the land. Her knowledge of Gaudi is immense and in addition to the history, she provides stories, and other fun facts about the man and his architecture. Nancy arranged our tickets and "fast passes" (to go straight to the front of long lines) prior to our meeting. All four of us agree that our activities with Enchanting Barcelona tours were some of the highlights of our trip! |
'Fantastic Way to See Barcelona with Exceptional Guide'I booked two tours for our small group, (5 people) with Nancy in Barcelona. The Old Town Tour and Montserrat. We had Teresa for our Old Town Tour. We were met at the exact time, (no waiting) and our tour began. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, fun and full of interesting information. The Old Town tour was constantly being customized for us on the go. If we wanted to see more of something, we saw more. If was wanted to see less, we saw less. If we were interested in a specific part of history, we saw it. If we weren’t, we didn’t. It was a great experience. Teresa was very informative and provided in the information in a manner that was fun and easy to understand. Part way through the tour we stopped for dinner, (Tapas) and our guide ordered our food for us. It was a real treat to eat local food, in a place that locals frequent. And of course, the meal was included in the cost of the tour. We are so glad that we booked with “Enchanting Barcelona” for our tours. Nancy came highly recommended and we can see why.

A 5-star Tour Company
Enchanting Barcelona Tours was recommended by a friend and I'm so glad we used them. Our guide, Nancy, was incredibly good. She wasn't like a normal tour guide. It was like seeing Barcelona with a great friend. Her wealth of knowledge made everything so interesting. We took 3 half day tours. The Wine Lovers tour, Montserrat and walking tour of Barcelona's Old Town. We learned so much about the city and it's rich history. We can't wait to go back. Next time we'd like to take the bike tour. Thank you Nancy for making our visit to Barcelona such a memorable one.

She really brought the Sagrada Familia to life!
I found Enchanting Barcelona on TripAdvisor. We (my wife and I) booked the sights tour with a private car. The driver picked us up in a very nice Mercedes and our guide proceeded to show us around this large city - without having to walk for hours! The knowledge she has of Barcelona and the Gaudi sites is unreal! She really brought the Sagrada Familia to life and showed many, many small and interesting details. The last hour walking tour through Barri Gotic was very cool as well - without her experience we would have never noticed dozens of interesting sites. While the tour isn't inexpensive, I would highly recommend Nancy to anyone visiting Barcelona. Money well spent!

Great job keeping our older teens engaged
(even my cranky one)
We had two tours wtih Nancy - all day Gaudi and the 1/2 day Gothic Quarter. Nancy did a great job keeping our older teens engaged (even my cranky one) and informed. We felt she tailored the tour so well for our family, including her selection of a lunch place on the all day tour- outstanding! The Gothic Tour was excellent! I walked through the old town on a previous visit and this tour made me realize how much I missed. You really need an expert to guide you through this area of Barcelona. Nancy added great touches like the small churro shop with the best pasteries I have ever tasted and the hidden away Jewish temple. So much better than the large mass market tours!

Definitely recommend the biking!
With 2 kids, 9 (girl) and 11 (boy), we spent 2 half days with Nancy touring Barcelona. The first day was on Gothic Quarter and Biking Barcelona tour and the 2nd day on the Marvelous Modernist tour. In both cases, Nancy was great and kept the kids very engaged with lots of questions, facts that meant things to them, and not overwhelming them with "history" as we had gotten on our previous stops in Rome. The kids thoroughly enjoyed both tours, and both kept them interested and engaged. This means so much when the kids are sure they will be "bored" without their videogames... We definitely recommend the biking (we did that a version of that in every city we visited) - and Barcelona is a great city for that. They really also liked the treasure hunt at the Sagrada Familia and were very impressed with Nancy's knowledge of everything and her ability to really make it come alive.

Elena made our day so special
We had a great time with Elena from Enchanting Barcelona Tours. There is so much to see and do in Barcelona. We had only one day since the eight of us were cruising throughout the Med-West. Elena made that day special and heighten our cultural experience and discoveries of Barcelona through her stories. We learned so much. We were grateful of Enchanting Barcelona Tours to give us Elena. Our tour had a van that drove us to all the high points of Barcelona, the details of the outstanding architecture, and much more. I highly recommend the van at first as it would set the stage for the walking tour. My favorite and most memorable moment was Gaudi's masterpiece of the Sagrada Familia. The soaring columns and the details were remarkable. We all had a great time and having Elena, a local country person of Barcelona to show us around her beautiful city is a must have if visiting Barcelona.

Be sure to hook up with Nancy and her team
My husband and I just returned from Barcelona where we hired Nancy and her company to help us navigate the city. Specifically, we booked two private tours - one of Gaudi and his fellow Modernists and the other a combination walking/cultural tour of Montserrat. Nancy, the owner, was extremely responsive and put all the details in place before our arrival.
Our first tour, with Mirjam, included the Sagrada Familia, Park Guell and the Casa Batilo, all signature Gaudi projects. What can I say? Staggering talent and vision. Mirjam was a congenial and extremely knowledgeable guide and made our tour a real pleasure. The next day Derek, our guide for Montserrat, picked us up at our hotel and traveled with us via metro and train to Montserrat where we took the cable car and funicular to the top of the mountains and then walked down on a wide path for an hour and a half. The views were magnificent. Once down at the monastery, he gave us a tour of the church and adjoining area. Like Mirjam, Derek was a pleasure to be with, knew his stuff, and made the day speed by. If you're going to Barcelona, be sure to hook up with Nancy and her team. You'll be glad you did. |
