TOUR DESCRIPTION & ITINERARYThis tour shows you the top ten most popular sights in Barcelona. Your discovery takes you inside Gaudi's must see la Sagrada Familia Church - his almost finished creation, to the labyrinth of streets of the Medieval City - the Gothic Quarter, as well as everything else in between!
In a very streamlined division, you can divide Barcelona into two sections - l'Eixample (extension in English) which is the part of town where you will find the Gaudi buildings like his famous Sagrada Familia Basilica, and the Gothic Quarter, which is the Medieval quarter. The morning will be spent in the pedestrianized historical district of Barcelona's Gothic Quarter. We'll see the oldest parts of the city from Roman Ruins, to hidden squares with a million stories to tell, to the Jewish Quarter, and the Cathedral of Barcelona. This area can be visited on foot or via a bicycle taxi for two (pedicab) - the choice is yours! In the afternoon, after lunch in a non-touristy restaurant, will be spent exploring points via taxi or chauffeured car to see farther afield in the city. We will show you the Plaça de Espanya - home of the 1929 World's Fair, the Olympic Village & Port, Barcelona's revamped Inner Harbor, the Arc d'Triomf, gateway to the 1888 Universal Exhibition, then over to the swankiest street in town, Paseo de Gracia, with beautiful modernist apartment buildings and we will go inside Gaudi's eclectic Park Güell and his almost finished, la Sagrada Familia. "Awesome tour!"
My wife and I booked the sights tour with a private car. The driver picked us up in a very nice Mercedes and Nancy proceeded to show us around this large city - without having to walk for hours! The knowledge she has of Barcelona and the Gaudi sites is unreal! She really brought the Sagrada Familia to life and showed many, many small and interesting details. The last hour walking tour through Barri Gotic was very cool as well - without her experience we would have never noticed dozens of interesting sites.

"Making Barcelona Special"
Nancy added tremendously to the success of this trip. Not only was her pre-trip advice about how to go about seeing things, getting tickets, and restaurant advice indispensable, the knowledge, history, and anecdotes she shared during the outings captivated the attention of everyone. Personally, I really appreciate the value added by a great tour guide over trying to read a tour book on the fly. Enchanting Barcelona Tours can make a big difference to how much you get out of a trip to Barcelona.
